“Tattarrattat”

The Palindrome Series compositions (August - November 2020) were inspired by the changes in my own perception of time during 2020 Covid-19 self-quarantine that I was experiencing. All of the composed pieces of the series are palindromic, so they are the same played forwards or backwards. The work began as a series of graphic scores that I composed on two different hand drawn, on my iPad, music staves. I took these raw pieces, developed them and scored them for the above mentioned instruments using conventional music notation. Both the graphic and conventionally notated versions are provided to the performers to utilize during the improvisations.
