"Dashing Towards First Light"

Dashing Towards First Light is inspired by my personal experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The past 16 months have been some of the most challenging moments in my life. With many of my concerts and tours suddenly cancelled, I, as I imagine many others, found myself in a rather dark place. Not one to back down from challenges, I fought through this difficult time with bursts of creativity. Composing, practicing saxophone, developing new skills, and sharing my love of music and art with others became my salvation during this time. As we seemed to be turning the corner towards the end of the pandemic and a little ray of hope began to shine through, I found my spirits completely lifted and my mind set on the end of this chapter and on the start of something new.
